Frank Custer, l'americano che spiava matteorenzi.

Frank Custer è un americano nato a Birmingham, arrivato in Italia sotto copertura con il nome di Alexi Lalas. Gli amanti del calcio ricordano Lalas, difensore della nazionale rivelazione statunitense che arrivò agli ottavi di finale nei mondiali del 94. 

Lalas prima tentò di immedesimarsi nel mondo del rock tanto che anche la figlia di Clinton comprò alcuni suoi dischi. Ma la sua musica non riuscì a sbarcare in Italia. Ci voleva qualcosa che gli italiani amavano davvero, e così Lalas imparò a giocare a calcio e sotto commissione della Casa Bianca venne portato in nazionale maggiore ai mondiali del 94. 

Lalas disputò un buon mondiale e con le sue buone prestazioni il Padova non poteva fare a meno del difensore rock. 

Era il 1994, casualmente Lalas finì in una squadra del Veneto, feudo della nuova formazione politica della Lega Nord, alleata di un'altra nuova forza politica, Forza Italia del presidente Silvio Berlusconi.
